Ultimately helping leadership teams to accurately and efficiently direct resourcesOur ambition is that by providing staff with access to more research opportunities we can help generate a greater volume of innovative, impactful research.

Allowing teams to connect across an institution, share expertise and develop disruptive research.Breakdown barriers to collaboration and foster an open research environment.Engage with healthcare organisations and industry to scale research projects and enter into frontline, cutting edge fields.

Building research communities within an organisation is now possible at the click of a button. Simply get in touch with us to see how our software can help your teams collaborate together on R&D.

A digital tool with a vital purpose.

Clinicians are finding that clinical pressures are limiting the time they have available to spend on research. That's why we developed a fast and intuitive platform designed to help professionals find and engage in research quicker than ever before.

Several studies suggest that there exists a disparity in research engagement between genders. The Royal College of Physicians 2016 report "Research for All" highlighted these disparities within the UK medical workforce. Our platform aims to address barriers and help make research more accessible for all.

Research and innovation often go hand in hand. By enhancing engagement across the workforce and bringing diverse and different teams together, we can encourage innovation and drive more disruptive research.

The why and the who.

Research is how we transform healthcare

Everything in healthcare is touched by research. From medications to operations, even down to the pathways and digital systems designed to facilitate efficiency, almost everything in healthcare is built upon research.

Healthcare professionals play a vital role in identifying and generating research concepts. In conducting the research and disseminating the findings to peers and patients.

That's why we believe it's crucial to start revolutionising digital infrastucture available to clinical professionals.

A national priority

In 2021, the UK government set out its healthcare research agenda in a policy paper; aiming to support research with new digital infrastructure and by capitalising on scientific advancements made during the pandemic. Part of this drive involves engaging more patients, increasing innovation and “ensuring all health and care staff feel empowered to support research”.

“Research is the single most important way in which we improve our healthcare – by identifying new means to prevent, diagnose and treat disease.”
UK Government Policy Paper, 2021.

Frictions in Research

Secondary research identifies three key barries to research participation; Time, Access to Opportunities and Experience.

⏳ Time

Many healthcare professionals simply lack the time required to start and see a research project through. By launching a project efficiently on the platform, you can build teams to drive projects forward. Saving valuable time.

📚 Experience

More junior professionals and students seek guidance and mentoring when it comes to research. Our matching algorithms can help users find projects that match their skills. Building stronger collaborations and ensuring everyone is on the same page.

🎉 Opportunities

Many healthcare and STEM organisations are comprised of thousands of staff, spread across multiple sites and working within specific teams. Which can make it hard to share and communicate opportunities to colleagues.

Impact of Research Engagement

Patients at research-active hospitals have more confidence in staff.

A study found that patients who were admitted to hospitals that conducted more research tended to be more confident in their care team and more informed about their condition and treatment.

Increased research activity is associated with lower mortality rates.

A retrospective study found that hospitals that conducted more research had lower mortality rates for acute admissions. []

Research-active hospitals have lower risk-adjusted mortality.

A study found that research-active hospitals had lower risk-adjusted mortality for acute admissions. []

Participation in interventional clinical studies is associated with improved cancer survival.

A population-based study revealed that patients with colorectal cancer who participated in interventional clinical studies had a higher survival rate. []
